Thanksgiving is tomorrow! Are you ready? I wanted to take this time and pause and think about all that I am thankful for both personally and professionally.
On a personal level, I am very thankful for my family, my husband and my kids are very supportive of my launching this business and are amazing cheerleaders for me. That support expands out to my siblings, parents, and in-laws and is a great mental boost for me to keep going.
I am very thankful to my sister, Ronda, for once again hosting Thanksgiving dinner at her house so I can continue to not make a turkey even though I do enjoy eating it. I don’t mind cooking but for some reason, the idea of making a Thanksgiving dinner is very intimidating and she just does it and rolls with the punches so much better than I do. I am happy to assist and she wants me to bring desserts so I will, due to food allergies we are a tree nut FREE and pumpkin FREE house so and we love cranberries so I will bring, Cranberry Orange Cake, Butterscotch Cheesecake Bars, and Cranberry Apple Pie. I would be remiss not to say thanks to my husband’s cousin and wife; Steve and Mary, who have hosted us in the past and are very gracious hosts. They seem to manage cooking the feast fairly easily if they are stressed they don’t show it.
I am thankful to the book group (The Happiness Project) that I joined at the Dracut Library in January. Meeting up with the group once a month has been so much fun and has helped me keep the momentum on my Happiness Journey. This group has been so much fun that we continued to meet in the summer when the library was closed, and I have only missed one meeting. I look forward to our last meeting in a couple of weeks and don’t want it to end.
On a professional level, of course, I am very thankful to have my clients, and I do look forward to working with them in the future with updates, revisions, or anything else they come up with. I am also thankful for the networking groups or events that I have participated in because they have all provided me with contacts, ideas, and encouragement.
- Tuesdays Together Lowell; Rising Tide Society
- Kevin Willett; I have attended events for both his New England B2B networking group as well as Friends of Kevin events.
